Can I join Alpha Sigma Lambda directly as a student?
Membership is extended through invitation by a local chapter at a college or university. Students cannot apply directly to ASLHS. If your institution has a chapter, they will invite eligible students based on academic performance and eligibility.
What makes Alpha Sigma Lambda different from other honor societies?
ASLHS is the only national honor society specifically dedicated to recognizing adult learners in higher education. With a 75+ year history and official recognition by the Association of College Honor Societies, it offers a unique academic and leadership community for non-traditional students.
How do I know if my school has a chapter?
You can check our official Chapter Directory or ask your academic advisor if your college or university has an active ASLHS chapter.
What does lifetime membership mean?
Once inducted, members are part of Alpha Sigma Lambda for life. This includes continued recognition, access to resources, and inclusion in a national network of adult learners and academic leaders.
