Congratulations to Sara Conwell – recipient of the 2023 William C. Hine Distinguished Service Award!

Sara Conwell is the Assistant Director of Adult Learner Programs and Services (ALPS) at Northern Kentucky University. She holds a BA in Paralegal Studies and an MA in Adult and Higher Education, both from Morehead State University.

After gaining higher education experience in financial aid, Sara transitioned to advising, and working with the adult learner population. Sara is passionate about helping come-backer students return to finish their degree through Project Graduate, an initiative through the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and advocating for the equity and inclusion of the adult learner population.

Sara is proud to be part of NKU’s Age-Friendly Coalition, and helping NKU become the first Age-Friendly University in the state of Kentucky. Sara has been the Nu Kappa Pi chapter councilor of Alpha Sigma Lambda since 2017, and most recently served as NKU’s Staff Congress president from 2019-2022.
