2022-2023 ASLHS Scholarships Awarded to 21 Adult Learners Nationwide

As the premier nationally recognized honor society for adult learners with a 75+ year established history in higher education, Alpha Sigma Lambda is pleased to announce that for the 2022-23 academic year, it granted a total of six (6) $3,000 and fifteen (15) $2,500 scholarships to select applicants nationwide.

All qualified applicants met the following criteria:

Attended an institution that currently has an active Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter
Completed 24 semester hours (36 quarter hours) of graded coursework at this institution. (Not including transfer hours, assessment hours, CLEP credit and the like and not including any courses in which the student is currently enrolled.)
Achieved a grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale on all work taken at this institution.
Enrolled in an associate’s or a baccalaureate degree program at this institution.
Has a financial need for assistance to complete their degree.

Applicants were chosen based on scholarship, leadership, the clarity and content of their personal statement, strength of recommendation and need.
