Angela Gallagher has been practicing and studying yoga since 1986 in London, India, Thailand, Australia, and the U.S. From 1994 to 1997, she studied with the Active Birth Center in London, England to become a birth educator and pregnancy and postnatal yoga instructor. She is certified with the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, India and is registered with Yoga Alliance with more than 32,000 hours of teaching. Angela is also a certified postural alignment therapist through the Egoscue Institute.⁠

Since 2000, Angela has been teaching various classes and wellness programs at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center and is currently hired as a certified yoga instructor and postural alignment therapist through the medical center’s Integrative Medicine and Professional Practice and Development Departments in patient education and clinical support. ⁠

She graduated from Salem College in December 2022 with a BA in Health Humanities and began her graduate studies for a master’s in healthcare administration in January 2023. Angela hopes to use her degrees to secure the professional credentials required for advancement in the Novant Health Medical system.⁠
