Bethany Price

Bethany is a writer and a mother of three. She aspires to pursue a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology. She wants to look back on her life and know that her life’s work has been meaningful.

Being a student has helped her grow as a person and her self-confidence has greatly improved.

Her husband, children and her family have been her biggest supporters since day one. Her husband, especially, has cheered her on with every little accomplishment, no matter how small!

Concepcion Cecenas

Concepcion is a proud first-generation student who is married with two kids. One of her kids graduates from high school this year.

Her educational goal is to get a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and own her own business one day!

She said she is grateful for all the opportunities Drury has offered her in such a short time frame. She shared how she has gained the skills to interact with others, become a better thinker and a more self-confident person.

Her kids and husband are very supportive and help her in any way they can. Her parents and siblings have also been of great support, especially her sister who goes above and beyond to encourage and help her!

Tim Hall

Tim was born in Arkansas, but raised in SW Missouri. He is a proud husband and father who works as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.

He says: “I’ve always dreamed of becoming a Psychologist. Graduate school is the next step. Being a student has taught me to see the world differently. I have many new ideas about my future since making an academic commitment.”

His wife and children have been incredibly encouraging and patient with him. His parents have always supported him, and they always cheer him on. His brother and sister are lifelong friends, and they make him want to do great things!

Marcus DelaFuente

Marcus says: “ I am from Houston, Texas, and I am an Eagle Scout, a Star Wars nerd and love being around my family and friends.”

Marcus aspires to major in history and minor in English. One way Drury has impacted his life is that he has been able to learn about history and live life in the moment.

His family contains his biggest fans!

Noemi Urbina

Noemi says: “I am considering going for my masters degree, but as far as career aspirations, I am currently doing what I love as a student retention specialist, so I’d like continue with my dream job and also teach GED classes to adults.”

Noemi is the example of the tenacious student! She has been a student for at least 20 years. She shares: “I just had to keep on pushing. Never give up!”

“My biggest fans are my children! They have been on this journey with me and never complained.”

Viv Asibiko

Viv aspires to graduate with her Bachelor’s degree next fall and get into a leadership role in development or Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Being a student has made her more confident.

Viv says: “My biggest fans are my daughters and my partner who constantly encourages me and puts up with me, especially when I am stressed and cranky because of school and who always reminds me to believe in myself as much as they believe in me. I couldn’t do it without their love and support.”
