A native of Memphis, Tennessee, he currently resides in Horn Lake, MS, where his faith journey has flourished under the guidance of the Lord.

Upon graduating high school in 1985, Pastor Myers pursued studies in computer accounting at State Technical Institute (now Southwest Community College). In 1989, he married his high school sweetheart, and together, they have nurtured a loving family for over 35 years, blessed with three children: Jimmy III, Jelissa, and Jacob. Throughout his career, he has exemplified dedication and perseverance, serving for more than 38 years at Electronic Funds Source, where he has held various roles, including a supervisor in Risk Management and Finance.

In 1991, at the age of 24, Pastor Myers answered the call to the preaching ministry. Fueling his passion for spiritual knowledge, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in theology at the Tennessee School of Religion in Memphis. Additionally, he undertook courses with the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, locally and nationally, enriching his understanding of ministry and life.

Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Pastor Myers earned a Certificate in Essentials of Biblical Leadership from Union University, where he also received numerous other certifications. Currently enrolled at MCUT @ Union University, he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in urban theological studies, maintaining an exemplary academic record.

Under the mentorship of his father, Pastor Myers served as the minister of music and Associate Minister, which provided him with abundant opportunities for preaching throughout the Midsouth area and beyond. Ordained in 1993, he assumed leadership of West Antioch#2 MB Church in Coldwater, MS, in 1994, where he has faithfully served for nearly 30 years.

During his tenure at West Antioch#2 MB Church, Pastor Myers has been instrumental in its spiritual, financial, and numerical growth. Guided by his motto, “Grow, Glow, and Go,” the congregation has expanded from 75 active members to over 250, with services now held every Sunday and a variety of ministries enhancing the church’s effectiveness.

Under his visionary leadership, West Antioch#2 MB Church has achieved significant milestones, including two successful mortgage elimination programs, the establishment of a family life center, acquisition of transportation vehicles, and expansion of the parking lot, all while remaining debt-free. Recently, Pastor Myers spearheaded the renovation of the sanctuary, enhancing the worship experience and beautifying the church space.

Beyond his pastoral duties, Pastor Myers has preached across the United States and served as an instructor at the B.I. School of Religion and local Baptist District Congress. His commitment to youth empowerment led him to serve as President of the Youth and Young Adult Convention, where he significantly increased participation. Additionally, he has held leadership roles in various associations, including President of the North MS. Baptist Education Congress.

Recognized for his dedication to youth advocacy, Pastor Myers served as a consultant for the National Black Church Initiative, training pastors and lay leaders on engaging with youth on critical issues. His passion for youth welfare earned him the Consultant of the Year award.

Pastor Myers remains committed to following God’s guidance, collaborating with organizations like Celebration Inc. to present quarterly devotionals titled “Word for You Today.” As he continues to serve as a beacon of light in a dark world, Pastor Myers seeks to draw all individuals into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, glorifying the Lord and magnifying the Church through his gifts and ministry.
